Hi guys! I just tried to open our GDW raws in Sony Vegas for the first time in years (and therefore on a new computer with a new copy of Vegas) and got this error. After spending an hour trying to fix it, I realized that many of you have probably had this problem as well. Turns out our GDW raws have some weird codec written in them or something and it takes a specific codec to get Vegas to load them. Since Vegas is a popular editing software, I wanted to share the solution with you, to save you the time and trouble of scouring the internet trying to find a fix. - Go to xvid.org and click the big blue button in the middle that says "Get the Xvid Codec". - Install it after it downloads. - Boom, done. No, seriously. I spent an hour (or maybe more, honestly) of my time downloading every obscure codec on the internet and it was that easy to fix the entire time. I feel pretty dumb. But hopefully this helps if any of you guys are having the same issue!
